Definition

Percent of preschool children aged 3 through 5 with IEPs who demonstrate improved:
  • Positive social emotional skills (including social relationships);
     
  • Acquisition and use of knowledge and skills (including early language/ communication and early literacy); and
     
  • Use of appropriate behaviors to meet their needs

Snapshot Summary

Only within the last few years has this indicator been measured and targeted. There are many targets that are looked at in this indicator. Generally, the targets set for 2012 were not met.
