Unit 4 - District Leadership: Building a System of Supports

District Leadership-Building a System of Supports is the fourth and final unit of the series Laying the Groundwork - Preparing to Build a Multi-Tiered System of Supports within the Context of Continuous School Improvement.

(Note: Although there are no prerequisites, it is highly recommended that these units be completed in order.)

The mission for school districts is to provide supports for all students so they can achieve college and/or career readiness.  This interactive course is designed to support district leaders to build capacity for developing and implementing a   sustainable district level system of supports to improve outcomes for ALL students.       It will provide information and guidance to districts interested in developing a multi-tiered system of supports within the context of school improvement.

Essential Element(s): Leadership, Comprehensive Planning

Outcomes for Participants Include:

  • Defining district level system of supports; and
  • Identifying system components for building capacity to support the use of     evidence-based practices.

Intended Audience: District Leadership Team Members and Coaches.                    Session is open to anyone who would like to participate.

Cost: There is no cost for this training.
